STEPS OF APPLING IN LOAN BOARD IN TANZANIA

• Step 1: PAY THE REQUIRED LOAN APPLICATION FEE through M-Pesa by doing the following:

1. Dial *150*00# from the registered Vodacom number (Piga *150*00#);
2. Choose option 4 for ‘Pay by MPESA’ (Lipa kwa MPESA);
3. Then choose option 3 for ‘Choose Business’ (CHAGUA AINA YA BIASHARA UNAYOLIPA);
4. Enter 8 for ‘Education Services’ (Ingiza 8 kwa Huduma za Elimu);
5. Enter 2 for ‘HESLB’ (Ingiza 2 kwa ‘HESLB’);
6. Enter 1 for Reference Number (Ingiza 1 kwa Namba ya kumbukumbu);
7. Enter your Account Number (Weka namba ya kumbukumbu ya malipo). This is your formatted 15 characters number of your Form Four index number and year of completion e.g S0143.0012.2009;
8. Enter the REQUIRED AMOUNT in TZS to pay (30,000). Kindly read Step 2 for details;
9. Enter your 4 digit PIN;
10. Enter 1 to confirm; and
11. You will receive a confirmation message with TRANSACTION ID e.g BP19UX958. Don’t delete it!

NOTE: Further, note that if you have sat for Form Four examinations more than once, you are required to register using your oldest index number.

• Step 2: KEEP YOUR M-Pesa TRANSACTION ID

1. Once you receive the TRANSACTION ID, you can proceed to apply online. Remember, you will need the TRANSACTION ID for self-registration with OLAMS at OLAS :Welcome or through HESLB website link www.heslb.go.tz.
2. Remember, without this ID, you will not be able to register and apply online.
3. Do not share your Transaction ID as it cannot be re-used.
